HIGHLAND - North High School’s Ethic Club, founded by North High senior Isaac Solano, lives its name. The extracurricular group meets after school to perform works that will help the school and the surrounding community. This holiday season, the Ethics Club once again strives to feed the hungry with their 3rd annual canned food drive. The club seeks the help of the community to reach their food drive goal.
With the aim of collecting over 2,000 cans of food for the Samaritan House in Denver, the Ethics Club asks residents to help with this endeavor by bringing non-perishable food items to North High School. The food drive will end on December 18th. North High School is located at 2960 N. Speer Boulevard with the entrance located on the 32nd Avenue side of the building.
The North High School Ethics Club is an extracurricular club at North High School with the mission to improve the North High School community and the surrounding local community through acts that embody good ethics. In addition to this food drive, the club also raises money to give a $500 scholarship for students who attend a community college after graduation. The group also makes holiday cards for the residents at the Gardens of St. Elizabeth. They also volunteer on a monthly basis at Angel Heart, an organization dedicated to helping those with terminal illnesses.
Members of the North High School Ethics Club invite community members to bring in canned goods to help feed the hungry this holiday season. A collection box will be in the main office. North High’s PTA is sponsoring a Community Open House on December 4th from5 to 7:30 pm. 2960 N. Speer Boulevard.
